The Base Line - XMAC - Armor Carrier - is a plate carrier designed to carry ballistic front and rear plates.
Soft armor cut: DKBAC (DK Ballistic Armor Cut)
Fits most ICW Rifle plates, as well as some SA Rifle plates. when ballistic soft armor panels are inserted into the vest.
Will accept 10"x12" (25cm x 30cm) rifle plates as well as SAPI Cut Medium rifle plates.
Fully MOLLE compatible and a compatible with Tardigrade Tactical - MBACS components and many plackarts, cummerbunds and comfort/cooling liners from others brands on the market.
This is the first soft armor carrier officially available through Tardigrade Tactical. We designed a simple, yet incredibly versatile Armor carrier full of features, meant for modern warfare.
This is an armor carrier for soft armor and rifle plates you wear in real world conflicts/wars.
We focused on functionally from the beginning, only tweaking design elements as the last step in the process.
Features:
Fully MOLLE compatible platform on rear- and front plate pocket as well as MOLLE compatible cummerbund that allows for pouches or side plate pockets to be mounted to the outside or the inside of the cummerbund.
Reinforced and curved, ergonomically shaped cummerbund for a higher level of comfort, optimized placement of rear- and front plates.
The cummerbund is mounted with Velcro hook and loop from the sides, behind the outer layer of laser cut laminate. Pro-tip: use a piece of paper between the hook and loop. Adjust to your preference and remove the paper to allow the hook and loop to connect.
Internal Cummerbund for added comfort. With these types /sizes of carriers you need an internal cummerbund to keep the rear panel close to the back of the torso to prevent fatigue.
Cable routing:
both the front and rear plate pocket has multiple in-/outlets for wires for communications and navigations equipment. Smaller cables can be routed virtually from any point of the plate pocket to another via the laser cut “MOLLE”, however, several cuts on the edge and the top will accept larger cables.
Velcro loop on the sides of the front panel, behind the cummerbund, for mounting accessories or upgraded cummerbunds that will be added to the MBACS system at a later point in time.
Liner:
Simple, smooth and durable Cordura 400D liner (the side facing your body) with a pair of “Velcro” loop strips for mounting upgraded liners with cooling or airflow features. Compatible with Armor Vent panels.
Adjustable shoulder straps with build-in mounting points for a quick-release attachment, that can be purchased separately. Shoulder straps have laser cut attachment points for MOLLE compatible pouches or whatever you feel like attaching.
Plackart compatible, with side release buckles or g-hooks. Mounting points are behind the outer layer to hide/protect the female buckle. This also allows for more available MOLLE on the outside. Spacing between the buckles are industry standard making the XMAC compatible with plackarts from other brands as well as the Tardigrade Tactical MCRS chest rigs.
